Busy day!
Well, for the time being I am not in the kitchen, but in the boutique helping before I depart for my trip to Massachusetts to see the horde of nieces and nephews and siblings for the holiday. Nothing like morphing into a human jungle gym for a few days to get you to appreciate NYC. Bars close at 12:30a up there so I should be able to resist going crazy on my holiday and get some rest. The fact that it is also unnaturally quiet up where my parents live… I should be able to get through some of these books about food and torture games easy enough (it’s really not a bad book… they call it a “Young Adult Novel” so it can’t be THAT graphic, right?) Maybe even get some writing done… that screenplay wont write itself (‘cuz honestly, comedic writing is the best form of therapy. Sorry therapists, it’s fucking RELAXING.)
A few more batches of caramels tonight and tomorrow for hand delivery and then I am DONE.
Interesting news? Yeah, I think I might get a nice ol’ blog post today on a major NYC food blog!!!! I will post a link (as it has something in there for anyone who was a bad gifter and needs to grab a few other prezzies post 25th.)
OK! Back to my to-do list.
